The Prehistory of Street House

Street House, in North East Yorkshire is remarkable for the wealth of prehistoric deposits that have been excavated in the last ten years. Starting with a Neolithic salt making site and associated settlement, excavations in the last two years have now revealed further Late Neolithic- Early Bronze Age ceremonial sites that have resonance in the East of England at the site known as “Seahenge”.
