The heat hasn’t deterred our diggers who have made some interesting discoveries while excavating the in-fill of these iron age ditches.

This beautiful Nene Valley colour coated jar. Enough pieces have been found for eventual reconstruction.

A fine Roman 3rd to 4th century bone pin fragment with faceted head.

And the jawbone of a small dog.
