Simon is a Senior Project Manager at MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) and based at their Northampton office. He manages large archaeological projects from inception to archive across the country, with a focus on the Midlands. He is also Ia keen supporter of MOLA’s public impact work and has appeared on recent series of Digging for Britain introducing their work on the A428.
Abstract: Between July 2022 and June 2024 MOLA undertook excavations ahead of construction of the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme. The sites revealed information about how Iron Age pioneers ventured into the claylands of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire to expand their settlements, and how they developed into the Roman period and beyond.
